A strologer Prof.RISHABH SHASTRI is born and brought up in Serampore , Hooghly,W.B. which is  situated on the western bank of the river Hooghly. His forefathers lived in the locality of Chatra area for generations. This locality is very old and  near  to the main city. It is just 15 minutes Walk from the railway station and the main City and  also well connected with Barrackpore,Howrah & Calcutta.  Astrologer Rishabh’s  childhood, early life, education, career and all other activities evolved in this loving city. He is an Arts Graduate of Calcutta University from Serampore William Carey College. From the school days young Rishabh has a flair for literature and social work. He has widely written in several local newspapers and little magazines.  In the year 1988, he  met his  JyotishGuru Shri MANAJ BHARADWAJ who was a famous musician, singer, composer, lyricist and renowned  Astrologer.  Rishabh  took lessons  on astrology from his Guru for several years. While learning astrology he started his career as a teacher in private English Medium School and continued the deepest study under his guru’s guidance. Later his guru introduced him with Dr. B.V. Raman school of astrology (Raman Gharana)  and handed down several books written by Dr. B.V. Raman.  At the same time he also gifted a large collections of  “The Astrological Magazines “ (from 1965  to 1995 AD) edited by Dr. B. V. Raman.
With due permission and blessing of his guru  Prof. RISHABH SHASTRI started his professional practice of astrology from 2000 AD in  Bhawanipur, Bowbazar  and Saltlake area of Calcutta.
At present  Prof. RISHABH SHASTRI is a successful  professional Astrologer by the grace of his great Guru and  Goddess MAA TARA, having a wide range of clientele, fan followers, students and patrons. He is also the Founder & Principal of  Institute of Modern Astrology. Besides astrological practice he is busy in publishing his research articles  and deeply engaged in promotion of Vedic Astrology ( ASTRO-RENAISSANCE  PROJECT) in Modern forms and perspectives. He says I am not an omniscient but an exponent of VEDIC ASTROLOGY.
