DOUBLE TRANSIT OF JUPITER AND SATURN

Double transits are given in Nandi Nadi and made popular by Shri K. N. Rao. It looks at combined effect of Saturn and Jupiter at any house or house lords. Here Saturn and Jupiter can be replaced by nodes or supported by them to make triple transit phenomena. However events are made by dual transit of Saturn and Jupiter only.
SIGNIFICANCE OF JUPITER AND SATURN TRANSITS
Since Jupiter and Saturn are the slowest moving planets, their transits play the most significant role in timing event.
Jupiter transits through a sign approximately once per year (12 months approx.), while Saturn takes approximately 2.5 years(30 months approx.).
During transit, when “Jupiter & Saturn” aspect a particular “Sign, Bhava or “Karaka” Planet by Conjunction, Mutual Aspect or the both planets separately aspect them is called Double Transit of “Jupiter & Saturn”. If it is with benefic Dasha-Bhukti then it is sure shot sign of fruitification of indicated the event.
ROLE OF JUPITER IN DOUBLE TRANSIT
We generally think of Jupiter’s transits as positive and beneficial. Jupiter causes expansion, growth, new opportunities and increase in the significations of any house that it transits or aspects.
ROLE OF SATURN IN DOUBLE TRANSIT
Likewise, we generally think of Saturn’s transits as negative and detrimental. Saturn causes delay, limitation, obstacles, challenges and the denial of the significations of any house that it transits or aspects.
However, under certain circumstances Saturn’s transit can give positive outcomes. Saturn gives positive results when Saturn is somehow, beneficial.
Jupiter can be said to give the inspiration behind an endeavour, while Saturn actualised the strength, structure and practical form. Without Saturn’s influence nothing of lasting value could ever be actualized.
Jupiter gives new, expansive ideas but not necessarily the ability to manifest them. Therefore, we need both for an idea to come into full manifestation.
So, in a nut shell we can say
1) Jupiter is the new ideas, growth, inspiration and aspiration that wants to touch the sky
2) Whereas Saturn establishes a firm foundation and actualised the ultimate desire. .
The Double Transit Phenomenon
When Jupiter and Saturn both aspect a sign by transit it becomes a significant event and that sign becomes strongly activated by both the expansive influence of Jupiter and the actualizing influence of Saturn. The otherwise potentially limiting and challenging qualities of Saturn’s transit become wise and more beneficial under Jupiter’s influence.
While the potentially unrealistic and ungrounded qualities of Jupiter’s transit become more practical and focused under Saturn’s influence.
Together they can indicate achievement, break throughs, and progress regarding the areas of life that are signified by the house(s) that they’re both aspecting by transit.
The Special Aspects Of Jupiter And Saturn
As per Vedic astrology every planet aspects both the house -- it’s located in and the 7th house from itself – 1st and 7th aspects.
In addition, there are special aspects for Jupiter, Saturn and Mars.
Jupiter also aspects the 5th and 9th
Saturn also aspects the 3rd and 10th
Mars also aspects the 4th and the 8th houses.
So both Jupiter and Saturn will aspect a total of 4 houses including the one where they are placed in.
Here, the overlapping house(s) represents the double transit.
Therefore, it is very helpful to get into the habit of looking for which house(s) Saturn and Jupiter are both aspecting by transits at any given time.
Many astrologers overlook this simple method and can miss valuable insights into where the individual needs to focus his or her energy during that time period. It must be noted that while this sound very reliable and promising, Yoga’s and Current Dasha-Bhukti must be considered. Otherwise, fruitification of desired results will not be fulfiled.
